Small Business: Trailer/RV Park

Novian Davis Fort Worth, TX

Hello, I was recently given some land and I am looking to make that land useful. I want to first look at opening a trailer/RV park. Is there anyone with that experience, who's willing to mentor. I'm specifically looking to find out the pros and cons as well as how to get started or best practices? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi Novian, Start by learning all you can about being a business owner by attending a FREE Boots to Business course near you:

Network into a position by using Informational Interviews through LinkedIn - Find those individuals already in that space in LinkedIn and ask for informational interviews which many people do not use - also connect with me to have access to my network -

A search on the web (usinng the Brave search engine in my case) on
"opening an rv park"
reveals many hits. A few:

How to Start an RV Park | ZenBusiness Inc.

How to Start an RV Park (with Pictures) - wikiHow

Note that the first one talks of using credit cards to get the business going which is something I would never do (but I'm not everybody).

I suggest you find a business owner you trust (family, friend, etc.) to ask questions about options as you research further. You'll want to avoid the unscrupulous, which isn't always easy to spot if you are new to the game.

Hi Novian,

Thank you for your service! This is definitely a niche ask. If you don't hear back on this post feel free to use our "Community Tab" where you can sort by mentors who have listed Real Estate for the Expertise Area and also utilize the Zip Code Feature. From there you can directly reach out to mentors to see if you get any leads.

All the best,
