I am trying to find the right fit at Deloitte. So far I have applied to four positions and have no received an interview request yet. Each time I have exceeded not only the basic requirements for the role but also the recommended. Looking for advice on how to break into a role like that. Thanks.

I would try the Deloitte CORE Leadership Program. Also might be worth reaching out to Michael Bernard (Sr. Talent Acquisition Leader at Deloitte).
I’d suggest that you network at the target company. Use LinkedIn to find people already working there and reach out to them. Ask them the process they used to get hired and ask them to help you navigate the hiring process and if they are willing, ask them to submit you as a referral. These activities require much more time on your part but in my opinion would greatly increase your chances for success. Good luck!
Joshua,
The major consulting firms prefer to hire new graduates. Then the firm can train and develop the recruits in the firm's methods, analytics, and culture. The firm's goal is to identify those junior consultants that are not partner material and place them with one of the firm's clients. Approximately one in twelve make partner.
The firms make experienced hires only when the candidate has a unique set of skills or experience the firm needs for a contract or project.
What unique, focused set of skills or experience do you have to offer? In what area can you be a "subject matter expert"? What skills or experience do you have for which the firm can bill you out to a client company for a minimum of $200.00 an hour?
Do some extensive research about the consulting business, especially how they make money; that is billable hours.
Good luck
What education? Major issue here. Why should they hire you? Do you have something that is exceptional, special, unusual? Does your background fit in with their business plain? Are you a CPA, do you have a degree in Law?

Good morning Sergeant Swink,
Thank you for your many years of service and now interest to transition to Consulting. As Sophia mentioned above, Deloitte has an active Veterans group; some that I have worked with in a coaching role in Chicago have tapped into this group, built valuable networking connections and were brought into the interview process. Today, it's really important (especially in large firms like Deloitte, the private sector), to make networking connections and build advocates. HR loves to see referrals from inside employees and values recommendations. If you would like to talk more about this, please feel free to email me directly: mary@adviseu.net. I would be glad to share more and how to approach the conversations. Keep up the good work with year job search! -Mary
Hi Joshua,
Thank you so much for your post! ACP AdvisorNet actually has a community feature that allows you to search by company. Here is the link to all of the Advisors active on AdvisorNet from Deloitte https://acp-advisornet.org/community/company/Deloitte. You can message advisors with any questions you may have regarding the interviewing and hiring process, and I am sure they would be happy to help.
Additionally, although we can't promise a Mentor from Deloitte, as part of an ACP mentorship, you are welcome to one-off informational calls with other Mentors in the program. If you are interested in an ACP mentorship, please feel free to reach out to info@acp-usa.org, and ask your ACP point of contact for more info during your orientation call!
Good luck!
Sophia
