Are there any organizations or advisors that can teach/mentor me on how to trade the stock market?

Hello,
I have recently found a passion for day trading/swing trading stocks and want to see if there is anyone or any organization that can teach me how to trade the stock market successfully. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Daniel,

There's a company called Online Trading Academy (OTA) that has a training program for a fee. I joined it a few years ago and I believe they hold a free info session. https://www.tradingacademy.com/ and https://www.tradingacademy.com/education/

It is not cheap but these guys know what they're doing and there's lifetime memberships and you can keep going and repeating a classes to get down the steps. OTA has changed some of it's business model since I joined, so I'm not sure how it is priced now.

Here's the thing I want to emphasize--a few years ago I heard some OTA locations were offering service members or veterans a no cost basic training class (what is called "Core Strategy").

I'm available to answer any questions you may have.

Best,
Jim

Hi Daniel, I'm sure a handful of ACP mentors that work in the finance industry will also provide advice, but I will share a couple of articles that outline the process, how to get started and a series of questions you should begin asking yourself. I hope these help!

Sounds like you are already on your way! Predictions of the future are sometimes unreliable.

I've collected some links on my personal Web page:
Look under Economy, Economy Videos, Equity Brokers & Exchanges.

I've been adding links to my EE webpage to use as a tool to find jobs etc.

You can click on the Byrne shield to switch between them!

Books by Warren Buffet, Charlie Munger (The Tao of Charlie Munger), James Bogle - The Bogleheads guide to a three fund portfolio) can be had from local libraries. Even Trump has some good Books. Also, the series Rich Dad - Poor Dad.
Another of my favorites is the Thin Green Line.
