I am interested in starting my own mobile notary business/signing agent business? Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

Hi, still looking for help? I started mine about two months time.

1) go to your states website for the requirements to become a notary in your state. For Virginia it was a one page notarized application and $45.
2) Get insured and bonded.
3) Go through NNA to get certified as a signing agent. The exam is super easy and you can fail it as many times as you want lol.
4) Wait for jobs to literally be sent to your email from NNA. Also set a resume up on NotaryCafe and NotaryRotary. And look into doing Pop-Bys to escrow offices (typically done by Real Estate Agents). I actually sell Pop-bys as a subscription or one time service. Let me know if you need more info or are interested in the pop-bys! Good luck!

Hi Eric,

Thank you for reaching out! You can search for contacts in your location and industry using our Community Feature here: https://acp-advisornet.org/community/advisors. Where it shows "refine by" you can click the tab and scroll down and click "small business" and filter further to find the advisor you would like to connect with who has the background and expertise that you are looking for. I hope this was helpful!

Best,
Jessica
