Hello,
I have just assumed presidency of a local non-profit. We are in the process of shopping for insurance. Is there anyone out there who would be able to chat with me about how to be savvy on this? Thank you so much!
Sincerely,
Rhonda

Good for you! Nonprofits need capable, resourceful leadership. You probably already know about this http://massnonprofitnet.org/ and I suggest posting an inquiry to their Facebook page or list-serve.
Rhonda,
The key will be to find information without a sales pitch. Insurance sales is a very lucrative and competitive market. You might seek a fellow not for profit CEO in your area and ask them about their insurance experiences. The local Chamber of Commerce maybe able to hook you up with some of those CEO's or look for a group of non profit CEOs on LinkedIn or Facebook professional. Again, look outside the insurance industry for guidance, then when you request insurance, tell them what you want, not what they think you need. I know this sounds crass but you can not live without insurance, but you can be sold too many insurance products. Thanks for your service and God Bless. P.S. I was the president/CEO of a not-for-profit organization if that helps.
