Fundraising

Good Morning Everyone,

As a filmmaking student at New York Film Academy, we are supposed to fund our own projects. I have a go fund me to raise $10,000 for my thesis project. The project is a suicide awareness film to help show the importance of reaching out for help rather than suppressing it with alcohol and isolation. Besides a go fund me, which doesn't always raise enough, what other options are out there besides friends and family and how should I prepare for it. I have until January or February to raise the funds.

The situation that I am in now is working two part time jobs along with school, which is draining, but we have to do what we have to do to make our dreams a reality. Thank y'all in advance for your time and information.

Thank you very much Paul,
I will defiantly look into that. Sundance is the dream festival also to get into. Nothing will stop this production to be made. There are a lot of people who need to see this message. I needed it a long time ago. I am a survivor of the internal struggles that take people too soon.

Hi Ryan,
Your recent post here led me to your Go Fund Me fundraiser, and I was impressed with your pitch. I wish you the best of luck with this endeavor. Living in Utah, Sundance is at the center of our local independent film scene, and below is a link to some of their programs which may be of assistance.
