I would suggest reaching out to your local SBA. They should have resources to help you navigate getting contracts. It may be to your benefit to register as a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) and/or Service Disabled VOSB (of this applies).

You can also attach to larger companies and help them participate in contracts specifically set aside for small business.

For example Big John deliveries has been delivering for twenty years. They have 10k employees and make over $2M a year. They are not considered a small business. As a result they can not compete for contracts specifically set aside for small biz. However, JJs delivery is a small business. It has two employees and it’s a Veteran owned small business. JJs delivery competes for a $1M contract to delivery medical supplies. He needs 15 guys and 8 trucks to do it. He wins the contract and is the prime he then enlist the help of Big John as his subcontractor. Big John has all the experience and still gets some of the work but JJ was able to win the small business set aside

Anyways start with your small business office and you can also look in Sam.Gov (or beta.Sam.gov) for government contracts.

Go to your local hospital (or two) and speak with BOTH their Purchasing Agent and Central Sterile Supply Supervisor. They are the recipients of medical supplies for their hospital and know how the game is played. Make nice.
