IF you've not found anyone yet, that may be a good thing. Entrepreneurs who choose their own bookkeepers but don't have experience at bookkeeping can often choose poorly. Once you find a candidate or two that you like, ask your CPA or tax preparer to interview them on their technical skills and give you an assessment to guide your choice. That can save you pain later because fixing bad bookkeeping after the fact is difficult and can be expensive. Better yet, get that assessment first for several candidates and choose the one who demonstrates the best skills.
