I thought Magoosh was great for GMAT prep (and cheap... I think it was $99 when I did it in 2016). Study and take the test until you get at least a 700+ (minimum)... no need to pursue a 760... 700-750 should be adequate for M7 MBA programs. I did the full time Wharton MBA and would not trade the experience for anything. One additional feature that would have been interesting to me would have been the JD/MBA... however, it may help to determine whether or not you have any interest at all in law before committing to the additional investment in time and money.

Yes an MBA from a fine school is great. However in my opinion and experience, a degree in Law, (Juris Doctor), beats an MBA "Hands Down" for executive management potential. Look at the Wall Street Journal and see the number of lawsuits against corporations as a result of blunders by employees with MBA's.

Thank you for your service. With respect to your GI BILL educational benefits - did you separate/retire from the service prior to 2013? If so you have a 15 year delimiting date to use or lose your benefits.

Have you considered EMBA programs? It may suit you better given that you appear to be a seasoned working professional.

Yellow Ribbon applies to private institutions of higher learning. Once CH 33 Post-9/11 GI BILL’s annual cap ($25,162.14) for the 2020-2021- academic year has been exhausted, then Yellow Ribbon funding kicks in. It’s a 50%-50% spilt between the school and the Dept. Of VA. The school sets it’s terms. Ideal scenario is to have an unlimited monetary cap and unlimited number of participants for the Yellow Ribbon Program.

When it comes to remote distant learning education programs, you will receive half the national average for the monthly basic allowance for housing (BAH) rate from CH 33, which comes out to ~$900/month for full-time course credit enrollment. To receive the on-campus BAH rate which tends to be greater in amount you need to be enrolled in on-campus courses.
