Hello, I am preparing to transition to the civilian job work and request some assistance to improve my Federal Resume grammar and paraphrasing. Anyone available to review and provide assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I have applied to several medically related jobs on USAJOBS in the GS 6-7 positions. Several with referral to hiring manager and now the waiting begins. In the mean time I would like to take those resumes I used and improve them for the future. Thanks.

David,
Have you zeroed in on what career field you are interested in? You mentioned medical in your question, was that from a manager position? It is important to be speaking the commercial/civilian language of your career. Informational Interviews are great ways to gather information about your career field. Also, career groups and networking on LinkedIn. Connect with Micheal Quinn on LinkedIn and do a virtual LinkedIn session. While a resume is important, targeting a position or opening is key. Do not pay for resume assistance. Hire Heroes USA does a great job, no cost. There are a lot of good services. Sign up and work with a mentor from ACP.
Remember that you are part of the 0.5% of Americans who serve their country. You are very well respected, but the chance civilians have been part of the 0.5% simply means they will not understand your language or experiences-without translation. Thank you for your support and sacrifices. God Bless https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/come-prepared-transition-process-gap-between-civilian-jerry-welsh/
