Hi Cary, I am in the Houston area and I work in Sugar Land. If you would like, I would be glad to do a phone call with you an discuss some things. I have been through several educational programs and I am currently a regional education director. I can give you several perspectives about education both in the classroom and online. I am currently a student as well. Send me an email and we can coordinate a call off-line. loretta.carter@parallon.net. I would be glad to help. Thanks, Loretta

Hi Cary. I noticed Beaumont and said "I can help." My son is from Beaumont yet he is now living and working in Houston. As a career coach I am happy to assist you if you like. As I noticed we both really like to watch the NCIS and Big Bang Theory so that's a start. I enjoy working with fellow veterans and I'm sure we can work together to get you moving in the direction you desire. If you are still searching, get in touch with me via my site or email... l3.thebrand@gmail.com

Cary,
* Perhaps join the "ACP Houston" group on Linked In, and start a discussion where you ask for advice and a mentor.
http://www.linkedin.com/groups?home=&gid=2997158&trk=anet_ug_hm&goback=%2Eanh_2030685_1379480502625_1

*You can also try searching the Advisor+ directory and reaching out directly to Advisors.
https://acp-advisornet.org/directory?sort=&dir=&c=&e=&s=TX

* Toastmasters is not exactly a mentoring group, but it is a great place to meet supportive and encouraging people, and to practice "networking" and public speaking, in a relaxed, encouraging and supportive environment. You might even meet individuals willing to act as a mentor and advisor.

* You can also request assistance on the "Veteran Mentor Network" LinkedIn group.

I enjoy my espresso and computers. I try to read everything I can get my hands on. I have one of those nook readers and I should read some of my books I have. I also love science. You should of seen me I watched Fearless Felix jump from the edge of space I was glued to the screen of my computer watching from the internet I thought wow. My favorite shows are The Big Bang theory, NCIS, NCIS Los Angelos, The Mentalist, CSI Criminal Minds. I also love sharks I think they are beautiful misunderstood creatures and I watch shark week when I can. I also watch the history channel. So you can see I guess I need to focus. I have gotten so good with my coffee which is the espresso that I have my own small roaster and I get the green un roasted beans and roast them and then grind them to make my coffee. Well thanks for writing me.

Cary,
What sorts of things do you enjoy most - what sorts of activities, reading, shows, classes, sports, etc?
