Would someone please help me translate my expierence in my resume to suit my career interest?

Hello! I have a foundational resume built off of my experience in military medicine. I used my personal evaluations to build it and am having trouble translating my "healthcare" background into operations. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Hello Nicholas. I put together a document for military personnel transitioning to civilian jobs. In part it describes how to 'civilianize' your resume, what to emphasize, what to avoid, etc. I will message it to you. If you want me to look at your resume, I would be glad to.

Good Luck

Nicholas,
Your LinkedIn profile is difficult to find, and if you are seeking a role in healthcare management, it should have been easy with your name and healthcare manager. All employers want value, you have listed your "responsibilities" but not outlined your success. Did you improve clinic efficiency by evaluating scheduling and reduce wait times by 25%. Did you coordinate a major IT medical records transition, resulting in cross departmental communications improving access to medical information by 50%.
Organizations need to see what value you can bring them, fortunately your language will be pretty similar. Market health care is also very keyed in on billing and the accuracy of billing. Do some Informational Interviews, learn where in healthcare you want to go-acute care, ambulatory care, senior living.. Also using the ACP mentor ship program will provide that outside military advice.
I am enclosing some basic articles on profiles and career research. Remember that you are part of the 0.5% of Americans who serve their country. You are very well respected, but the chance civilians have been part of the 0.5% simply means they will not understand your language or experiences-without translation. Thank you for your support and sacrifices. God Bless https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/come-prepared-transition-process-gap-between-civilian-jerry-welsh/

If you want me to take a look at your resume, I'm happy to. Also would be helpful to see a list of positions you've held. Healthcare is not my specialty, but I can definitely help you clean it up.

Joe and Sam thank you for the reply. I appreciate the resource Joe!

Sam, both are very broad and I appreciate the need for detail. I have experience in administrative, quality improvement, human resources, within healthcare operations and I am seeking out operations management positions as I near my transition. I am having trouble with my current bullet points sounding to medical instead of taking those accomplishments and generalizing the cause and effect to be applicable to more than just healthcare.

Thank you!

Hello there!
Healthcare is very broad field, as is operations. Can you narrow down both of those, to better give us a sense of how we might help you.
