Assistance for the Widow of a Reserve Retired Navy Veteran

Veteran

Bradley Alan Hermitage, PA

Good afternoon I have the widow of a retired Navy vet who is having trouble applying for his retirement benefits.
He passed away just prior to turning age 60.
Would you be able to assist, or point me in the right direction?

Hi Sargeant Alan, thank you for stepping in to help this widow. You might try reaching out to Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) https://www.taps.org/
If they cannot help directly, they may put you in touch with someone who could.
Best of luck.

Thanks for trying to help out a family member during the difficult time.
Each service has a version of the causality assistance officer that should be able to help connect a widow of a retired veteran with the right people to answer questions on benefits and other topics. I have included a link to an article about this role and the title used by each service. I hope this is helpful.
