I have a Construction Management degree and currently work as a Project Manager for a Division 10 Company and want to work for a general contractor.

I have worked with my mentor and updated my resume, put have not had much luck getting interviews with a general contractor. The lack of interest in my resume might be a result of COVID 19 but I would like hear other points of views moving from a sub contractor Division 10 to a general contractor.

Aaron, thanks for your service! Are you looking to work in the Building Trades Unions, or as an independent contractor? Helmets To Hardhats (https://helmetstohardhats.org/jobs/find-jobs) can assist in connecting you with local building trades union reps. You can also find some for the Colorado area at https://coloradobuildersguide.com/contractors/ . Good luck!

Good Morning Aaron, here is my suggestion - this is the process I use with my candidates and clients. 1st do you have a list of all GCs in the area you desire to work - define your geographic area; next anyway possible make a connection with them through LInkedIn, a friend, another GC but by any manner possible, then set up an informational interview either via phone, skype, or in person. Research that person, research the company and be prepared to ask pertinent questions of that individuals, you may even put together a 30 60 90 plan in the job regardless if you get it. Do not know where Arvada is but for Colorado Springs in LinkedIn there are 3800 hits of GCs. you can also link with me - https://www.linkedin.com/in/garyrossibaldrigecoach/
