I have sent veterans participate in the Consultant Development Program at Accenture, align with financial services clients, then transition into BP roles at large banks such as Wells Fargo and Bank of America. The military pipeline for Accenture is call JMO (junior military officers).

What do you like about financial services? Do you like the research aspect, client service aspect, or selling perhaps? What is your tolerance for up-and-down? If you articulate and define your interests more, you will get loads of assistance from this forum!

Hi Thomas,

As a way to become engaged is to join some private Facebook groups or LinkedIn groups. Ask your question there as well, and get other perspectives. Consider joining some associations where these individuals would be active. You will want to begin building relationships.

There are many ways to enter this space (in ‘normal’ times). Most banks will have brokerage & advisory services, either directly or through an independent broker. You can also look for independent registered investment advisors to contact

Would need to see your resume and we can communicate further if you feel that would be of assistance.

Your question is so broad that it will be difficult to get any useful info from it. It's like asking about entering "the food service industry".
So first you need to refine your area of interest. Providing Client Service is far different from providing Financial Planning. Finally, where do you want to live? I doubt there are many opportunities in HI in "Financial Services".
