I am more in the line going some of the other skills mentioned here in that are military skills are not a direct translation to the positions at BP. Is there a integration time for new employees?

Mike,

BP has a multitude of training opportunities: face to face at our training centers, at offsite locations, online and some on the job. We have everything from general business to very complex engineering and technical training. Some of our engineering roles require certifications and people will attend BP classes to complete the certs.

Integration time is really based on how fast you get up to speed in the new role. Much like the military, you'll need do some self education when you start and work on a plan with you line manager on the specific education areas you'll need to dive into. In my experience, it takes about 4-6 months to get educated, acclimated and efficient in a new role.
