I am interested in leveraging my legal education and U.S. Navy environmental law experience, as well as adding value as an employee in the private sector.

I would suggest that you not overlook the Hospital Industry. Compliance is a real challenge for hospitals/Clinics and large hospital systems have large staffs and levels. Check out some of the large hospital systems job board to give you a feel for that industry.

Best wishes

Ryan: First: Which Law School? Next: I can speak from the Corporate side. It seems to me that there are armies of lawyers on the Plaintiff side attacking corporations - most of them young and idealistic. If you are interested in a position in Corporate America, I suggest tailoring your resume toward the defense - Corporate - side. Further I would suggest you focus on a Line Position, (Environmental Management), rather than a strictly Staff position: (Corporate Law Department). Emphasize your "Hands On experience - up from the Ranks" ability to work with superiors and subordinates - a "get things done" attitude. Your eventual target should be: Vice President Environmental Compliance. Good Luck.

All Engines Ahead Full.

Let me know if I can provide additonal suggestions.

Have you considered your own practice? Clean technology companies could use your help. Partnering with Patent Attorneys who specialize in clean technology might be a option.
