Solidifying job market prior to military transition

Veteran

Daniel Rogne Georgetown, TX

Looking to move to a very remote area in the United States. There is a Reserve Base nearby with limited market for GS positions. Given that, how do I find consultancy positions that allow flexible work location (telework at home or on the go) and be available for travel for onsite consulting?
Mostly Organizational Development, Capabilities Development, and Systems Engineering at a minimum.

Hi Daniel,

I think your chances of landing a remote position post-COVID will only get better as companies start hiring again in bigger numbers.

I would definitely read these two articles; https://blog.stephsmith.io/non-technical-remote-jobs/ and https://www.flexjobs.com/blog/post/remote-consulting-jobs-v2/.

Like with every other job, networking is key. Try to speak with as many people from as many companies as you can. LinkedIn is a great place to do it, as is our Community section but I'd also make sure to ask friends and family to see who's in their network.

Good luck!
