Mr. Jensen:
Thanks for your service!
Check out some of the virtual advisory and consulting opportunities and market yourself to firms looking for your experience and skills.
Google "virtual advisory services," "virtual consultant jobs," etc.
Be aware that some of these services will charge a monthly fee to connect you to potential clients. E.g., AdvisoryCloud (https://www.advisorycloud.com/).
Good luck!

Hello Mr. Overqualified:

I remember this issue and learned very quickly not to mention the blue and the yellow shoe strings, only the blue. Overqualification is a real issue.

Yet as one other veteran mentioned, you may try board as I am on several. They pay between $350 and $550 per hour, depending upon specialty, need, stage of funding. However, if you'd like to learn more on the advisory groups you may have been referred to, feel free to message me on LinkedIn. There is much to know before making a commitment to such consultancy firms.
