I've lived in PA for long enough, need to find a career/job that is willing to invest in an overeducated/underemployed veteran in NYC. Over a decade in the Army, have found myself surviving off unfulfilling, underpaid work that is inadequate for an ambitious, autodidactic intellectual. Looking for uniquely complex problems to solve for people with access to resources and in need of a trustworthy, diligent, creative and compassionate problem-solver. A self-taught, aspiring amateur polymath, looking for other who share a common ethics, dedicated to integrity and desire empathetic solutions.
Have you reached out to Tom Murphy at edge4vets? If not, I highly recommend you do
Thank you so much for your service and for your question. I am not a veteran myself, but I can speak from my own experience. I live in New Jersey and it took a few months for me to find a good fit for me in New York City ( I relied on indeed.com and idealist.org). I highly recommend that you network on LinkedIn, use our community tab above to speak to people in the New York City area, and ( if you're a post 9/11 veteran) sign up for our mentoring program: https://mentoring.acp-usa.org/apply/protege/auth.
If you need more suggestions, please let me know!
