Comp Sci degree paths

Veteran

Currently looking to further my education by obtaining a BA in Computer Science. I would like to specialize in AI or Machine Learning. Anyone on here currently going to college for Comp Sci or working in the industry I would enjoy connecting and picking your brain.

Working in the industry. Couple of thoughts:
1) If you can get a BS instead of a BA that would be preferred, but the BA works.
2) I would suggest that you broaden from AI/ML to Data Science/Analytics, with a strong foundation in statistics. I know AI/ML is all the rage, but 90% of the real world problems need good data analysts to obtain insight into the information and present the trends, connections, and patterns to decision makers in a way they can understand. AI/ML is a very small niche.

1) thank you I'll be sure to talk to my education advisor about this.

2) My reasoning behind AI/ML is because of future investment. A lot of our daily tasks are already automated and this is why I think AI/ML would be beneficial. I can only see oir daily lives becoming even more automated. Thank you for the advice I will certainly look into Data Science/Analytics.
