Setting up a scholarship fund

Advisor

Ryan Brown Melbourne, FL

Hi,

Can anyone provide guidance on setting up a scholarship fund for my hometown high school? I’m looking for direction on starting, criteria, growing it, etc.

Thank you in advance.

Hey Ryan, cool that you're thinking about creating a scholarship. I recently went through the process of setting up my first scholarship and was lost at first. I ended up setting it up with a service called Bold.org, which ended up being quite easy and free to use. I found the service from this article, written by a guy who has set up a bunch of scholarships and walks you through how to create a scholarship: https://calvinrosser.com/scholarships/how-to-start-a-scholarship-fund/. Hope that's helpful!

Hi Ryan,

Thank you for your question! I did a quick search and found the following links that might be helpful in getting you started as you begin to set up your scholarship fund for the high school in your home town:

https://www.unigo.com/aboutus/how-to-start-a-scholarship-fund
https://scholarshipamerica.org/blog/how-to-start-a-memorial-scholarship-fund/

I'd definitely also recommend calling the school as well to ask if other people have set up scholarships there before to see if they have any insight into the process there. Good luck!

Best,
Maddie
