LinkedIn Profile Review - Advice Welcome

Veteran

Andrew Sylling Trumbull, CT

Dear AdvisorNet community, I'm interested in gathering feedback on my LinkedIn profile. Any advice, suggestions, and constructive criticism is welcome. I'm currently assessing my career options and, if I choose to move externally, would like to ensure that I am presenting my best impression on LinkedIn. Thanks in advance for your critique.

I would list your USMC as years and a professional military officer. It does nothing to add to your supply chain search. You were a military professional, simple and straight forward. If they want examples of how that helped you, I am sure you could blow them away with positive stories on management, process improvement etc. It was the Marines who brought Lean Six Sigma to the military world-civilians do not get it.
I see some hard #$%, maybe more of those in regards to accomplishments. Remember everyone wants value. Thanks for your service and God Bless. Maybe this to do list will help. https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/transitioning-veterans-how-where-do-i-find-my-value-military-welsh/

My thoughts:
"About" section -- add multilingual.
The Mission Continues -- needs more explanation.
Consider moving Logistics Planning Mgr to the top spot.
Dean's List honors -- delete your major (duplication).
Delete "Recipient of" (unnecessary).

Your background photo (lovely spires) should communicate something tangible about you, with an image that is likely to be understood by your target.

Best wishes!

Hello Andrew,

Overall, looks good. Could add a few recommendations. Based on your experience, I'm sure this wouldn't be too difficult and will add some credibility to your profile.
