Visiting NYC & hoping to make some connections (especially with Veterans on Wall Street)

Veteran

Fredrick Watson Bellevue, NE

I am in New York (Brooklyn, specifically) for the week, visiting my sister, and I was hoping to take advantage of my time here and possibly make some connections with other veterans and companies that hire veterans, just to let them know that I'll be moving here in January. Do anybody happen to know of anyone that I could get in contact with to point me in the right direction?

There is an initiative called Veterans on Wall Street that "demystifies" the financial services arena and I'd like to learn more about but I can't find a point of contact for it. Can anyone help me with this?

Any help that anyone can provide me would be greatly appreciated.
