Domonick,
Check out career sites on Facebook and LinkedIn. Search for IT groups that may fit what or where you are "career" wised interested in going. I know Facebook does not seem like a professional avenue, but many professional groups use Facebook to network.
Is there any national IT professional associations, if so be sure to hook up with one that is active in the Austin area. With the recent growth in Austin I would think there might be a pretty active group of IT folks. Keep in mind that LinkedIn also has a very strong professional group network system, with many chances to even do webinars with fellow IT professionals. P.S. Your profile is done very well and focused on your career. I must say you have been lucky to have been able to not be pulled away from IT or you were SMART enough to focus on that in your profile and not confuse people. GREAT JOB. Thank you for your service and God Bless.

Hello Domonick!

Thank you for posting this question to ACP Advisor Net!

I would consider looking up different groups on www.meetup.com. They have groups focused on professional development, as well as various hobby groups there. I would also be sure to use LinkedIn to try and connect with people in your area and industry of interest.
