What are some methods/courses to create a commanding voice or project your voice like an MTI?

The purpose of this question is to ensure I project my voice to a broader area, and that it is clear and concise. I will be starting a career in public speaking, and besides drill instructors, I have never seen people speak loudly with enthusiasm for an extended period. Therefore, my goal is to emulate them or learn some techniques to do the same.

Thank you for your guidance in advance!

Get a Voice Coach at your local community college or through an agency. Many train entertainers and movie stars.

Jeanne, Thank you for your response!

Steve, my goal is to emulate Steve Ballmer. He is the most energetic and passionate speaker I have seen on camera. A close second is Eric Thomas, who is a motivational speaker.

Thanks!

Toastmasters will help you, not only with voice projection, but also content and body language -- all aspects of public speaking.
Also, if you go to this website, https://www.jw.org/en/library/books/reading-and-teaching/ , look up lessons 10-12, which focus on Modulation, Enthusiasm, and Warmth & Empathy - these tips will surely help your public speaking voice.

JD,

The nice thing about today's public speaking is the technology available so you don't nee to speak loudly, just loud enough to be heard through a microphone.

It's the intonation and inflection that makes a good public speaker.

Who in the public speaking space are you following and seeking to emulate?

--Steve
