Greetings,
Does anyone coach/consult with vets that are applying for grad school? I would like to find help for the essay portion of the application.
Thanks,
Ryan Brown

Hi Ryan,
To piggy back off Cathy, I too would be happy to provide some tips/pointers. I’ve spent six plus years supporting military affiliated students with their transition from combat to classroom at both undergraduate and graduate levels, at a major non-profit Private university in NYC. Helping this deserving group craft up their personal essay/statement was a common component of the assistance I provided.
Institutions of higher learning do recognize and value what veterans bring to the classroom. It’s just a matter of portraying your military experience, leadership skills, ability to work in a high octane environment, etc. and how it has shaped you today, what you hope to achieve professionally and personally in your post military civilian career and how attending their school/program will help you get there.
Feel free to message me privately here and we can set up a time to connect for a phone call to discuss this further.
Best,
Robert
Hi Ryan, I’d be happy to help you frame/edit your essay. I am a global research and development leader for a major pharma company. Given your military service, you likely have a fair amount of leadership and strategic skills both of which are important in pursuing the MBA and building your career once you’ve achieved the advanced degree.
