Hi Theodore, If you send a copy of your resume to me at phil@pjsteffeslaw.com I'll review it and make some suggestions (if any are appropriate).

Regards,

Theodore,

Thank you for reaching out and I hope you're having a great morning!

That is a really great question because it stresses the essence of how important it is to have targeted resumes today - whether it is in the private or federal, but also, targeted toward specific roles/companies too.

To start this journey, I would definitely have a different copy for each industry/role you're applying for; once, you have a good rotation of resumes (that are flexible to tweak), the job search will be a lot easier!

To also support this resume review, I would also reach out to ACP Advisors via our community tab and look into these resources too: https://www.onetonline.org/ (translates military skills), https://www.monster.com/career-advice/article/resumes (templates) and https://hbr.org/2014/12/how-to-write-a-resume-that-stands-out.

Feel free to let me know if you have any more questions and have a great day!

Kate,
