Scholarship opportunities for North Carolina or North Carolina State University for Veterans?

Advisor

Kyle Cory Alexandria, VA

Hello, looking for any additional scholarship opportunities that anyone has heard of that fall into any of these categories:

-STEM majors; Aerospace engineering or engineering specifically
-Veteran friendly scholarships; not Post 9/11 GI, Forever GI, Montgomery or VA related
-State of North Carolina specific scholarships; clubs, groups, etc. that may sponsor students
-State of Michigan specific scholarships clubs, groups, etc. that may sponsor students

Any other advice or support is greatly appreciated -thanks!

Hi Kyle, thank you for having posed this question. I would suggest bookmarking and periodically checking Student Veterans of America's (SVA) webpage devoted to academic scholarships for student veterans irrespective of which institution they may be attending.

As the fall semester approaches they usually add scholarships to this page. I've seen as many as upward of a dozen scholarships posted:

Hi Kyle,

Thanks for your question and thank you for your service!

While I'm not familiar with any specific or regional scholarships, I recommend checking out the following sites as part of your research:
https://www.bestcolleges.com/features/top-military-friendly-colleges/
https://arealonlinedegree.com/college-resources/resources-military-veterans/

There is also a book titled, "76 Scholarships for the Military: Scholarships Specifically for the Military and Their Families" that discusses different financial aid options. You can order it on Amazon.

I hope you find these helpful!

Best,
Aly
