Resume Review

Veteran

Britney Collier Glen Allen, VA

Is anyone able or know of where I can go or who to ask about getting my resume reviewed. I will be receiving my BS in HR next month (August) and have some experience and would like for someone to help me with my resume. If you have any suggestions please let me know, thank you in advance.

Britney,
Hope you recieved some good feedback. Please do not ever pay for resume assistance, there are folks on LinkedIn that will ask for a fee! I find the best place for resume work is HireHeroesUSA.org I put down the link as there are a lot of websites similar. You are assigned a counselor, who will walk you through the process and also assist with interview questions. They offer a hand up, not hand out-they will have you write it. Be sure to write a master resume and then for every position you target that resume to the job posting. Practice with job openings on Indeed and read the posting and then match KSA's and other keywords and factors they look for. You should never have just a resume-that is the kiss of death. Thank you for your service, good luck and God Bless.

While I don't work in HR, I do have a lot of experience sending resumes since I've done a lot of temporary contracts in the technology field. Feel free to send me your resume for review if you still need someone to look it over.

Britney,
Every college that I know of have career centers and career counselors who are anxious to assist student.
As you know every resume is targeted to the position you are applying to so having someone work with you on an ongoing basis could be very helpful.
Best,
Susana

I'll be glad to do a review and provide you with recommendations.

I will need you to share your work history (experiences you bring to the table) and what you see as your quantifiable accomplishments. I will also need to know what you see as your current goal (the position and industry) that you are perusing.

Best wishes and thank you for your service!
