Joseph, what is the hiring process in BP or any energy company and what type of candidates are these companies looking for?

Hello Joseph,

Thank you for your question.

BP has quite a number of renewable initiatives. The company has published a new report which sets out its plans to help address the dual challenge of meeting the world's increasing demand for energy at the same time as reducing emissions of greenhouse gases. The Advancing the Energy Transition report outlines a series of targets as part of BP's reduce, improve, create framework. For additional information, please visit the below link to learn more around the initiatives:

To find roles in this area, please use the advanced search feature on our careers site and search for roles in the business segment “Alternative Energy “.

Please reach out to me if you would like additional support.

Thank you for your service!

I joined BP through the Military Placement Program (MPP). If you are considering a financial or operational career I would suggest learning more about the MPP. In fact, it is a good way to get your foot in the door at BP. Currently, I work in Global Environmental Products for the Commodity Risk bench. Let me know if you want to know more. Message me.

Best,

Serge

Joseph,

Yasmin is spot on in looking for positions in our renewable career areas. Also, BP has a number of strategic partnerships, such as LightSource BP and Fulcrum.

Hi Adones,

Veterans typically have a lot a technical & leadership skills that translate well to jobs in industry. It all depends on your specific skills and areas of interest. I would suggest visiting the BP jobs site and look for some possibilities.
