Hi Sheila, There are many ways to connect with HR professionals. Have you looked on LinkedIn? If you don't already have a profile on there then you need to set one up. Read through some of the articles that will advise on how best to lay out your profile.

Once your profile is set up do a search for the titles HR, Human Resourses, Personnel, etc. Use your location of preference and search a 30 mile radius or add other larger cities close to your target. You should also be specific to industry because the results will be unmanagemable otherwise. Once you have a good selection click to connect but always send a note that you have personalized in some way. Don't just send the stock message. Let them know why you want to connect. What value do you offer to them?

Also search groups in LinkedIn and Facebook. Join the groups and start constructive communications with the members. Look at your local Chamber of Commerce website most times they have lists of HR contacts for member companies. If all else fails or if you are looking for a particular company search Google for it.

There are so many more ways to find HR professionals but I hope this is a good start for you.

Hope that helps.
