Are there any real estate companies that provide internships in the area?

I can dedicate my time during the work week to providing assistance while learning the job while still on active duty. This way I am familiar with the processes and procedures to become a successful real estate agent.

Hello Kia --

I did a quick Google of "real estate agencies Hinesville Georgia" and found a number of them. Have you tried cold calling to see if they would take you on? Some may appreciate having an active military person on board.

Also, be aware that any real estate company may want you have your salesperson's license. This is usually regulated by the State real estate board. In Georgia's case, see this website:

Good luck!

Hi Kia,

Good question! To add on the Jodie's answer I suggest looking through Military Friendly's Employer page and seeing if any Real Estate have internship opportunities.

You can also use the `Community Tab` on AdvisorNet to search for advisors near Hinesville who have experience in Real Estate. There are at least a handful of realtors who may be able to point you in the right direction. I have included both links below:

Ms. Kia:

Please use the link above to explore the DOD program that allows troops to complete a 6 month internship while on active duty prior to separation. I know of some troops that have completed various versions of the internship and have successfully landed careers at Boeing, Amazon, and GM. Those troops where men and women from e-4 to E-7 and are currently happy with their career change. Ask your SFL TAP office for region specific information.
