Looking for mentoring and possible board members for our successful non-profit building self sufficient communities for veterans.
Thanks for putting the link up for your organization. I hope that it continues to grow as it fulfills its mission, to include mentors and board members, and other personnel needs your nonprofit may have.
All that being said, I do not imagine that your post will generate as much interest or involvement as you wish. It places the impetus on your potential audience to seek out and read more about your organization and only then might they decide to get involved. I would recommend a more tailored approach, much the same way one would tailor a resume to a specific position - tailor your message to your particular audience.
I see that you are a veteran yourself, and a distinguished one at that, and hopefully you've applied for ACP's Veteran Mentoring program. There are mentors with nonprofit experience who would be able to guide you in developing you message and vision, and furthermore, effectively market that to others, to your potential audience.
