Building a network in renewables?

Veteran

Stephan Ignatenko Bellevue, WA

Hi all,

I'm glad to be here. I separated in November and have been trying to build a resume and network for a career in renewable energy. I want to do some of the same project/operational management that I have been doing in the military. I'm wondering if there is a good way to get in contact with some of the people that could help me with this.

Thanks!

Hi Stephan,
There are several ways to build your network.
I would suggest you join some local groups- search for: (your major city) young professionals, (your major city) renewable energy professionals, etc
You could also consider joining Toastmasters in an area that is concentrated with renewable energy professionals. You may be able to network there as well.
LinkedIn is a great professional networking platform. Build your profile there and use it to build your network.
There is an app called Shapr. Shapr will connect you with people with similar professional interests locally and across the US.
I hope this helps. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
Warm regards,
Jerry
