Thank you for your service. I've been in the information technology business as a project and program manager for 27 years and would be happy to review your resume for guidance on how to translate your experience into project management-centric language.

Depending on the industry you want to go into, maybe consider pursuing a PMP certificate. They often aren't too much of a cost or time burden, and may help with the transition. I am not sure if the GI Bill can help offset the costs.
Best Wishes, Paul

Also willing to offer assistance -- will gladly review your resume with the project management focus. It's a relevant question both for preparing your resume and for answering questions.

Here's a starting thought: "What's your most significant project management accomplishment in the last year?"

I am a professional resume writer and career coach and also was a project manager in my former career who focuses on military transition resumes (I have done career transition presentations on U. S. Army bases). I would be happy to review your resume - if you contact me and also send me a job or two of interest. You can contact me at robin@robinresumes.com or 404-875-2688.
