Share the best techniques and proven practice to professionally connect with hiring managers and HR specialist in the companies that interest you?
I have added this answer to a couple questions today but using Linked In for business searches. More business executives are on this format and more information is available. If you have not started an account, start one - it's free. Connect with all the people you know who are working anywhere, it doesn't matter. There system is based on degrees of separation - who knows whom knows whom. Then you can search by position, company, location, alma mater, job experience, etc. Find people with common experience who can help you, introduce you or just be a conduit to someone else who may help. I am in financial Services and meet all my clients through Linked In by being introduced to them by my clients
Thank you for your service and for using ACP AdvisorNet!
A follow up question I have that may help others share the best advice is: what is your purpose in connecting with the hiring specialists? Are you inquiring about an open position or looking for information regarding future opportunities? That may change how best to reach out. You can look at a few of the resources we offer on our website, acp-usa.org, about requesting an informational interview, which may lend itself to these inquiries.
Another option to find information on this is via ACP AdvisorNet's Community Page. You can search either by company or location and industry to find HR professionals in your area to ask their perspective.
