Can someone suggest a great starting point for me, as I'm looking to re-enter the workforce after 2 years?

Veteran

Lanita Sailsman Madison, AL

I worked as an Electrical Engineer/Project Manager in the Air Force from 2004-2008. After separating, I went to school for Speech-Language Pathology and worked from 2012-2016. I switched careers in order to be able to support my family and move easily with my husband, who is still in the Air Force. I also took a 2-year career break in order to better support my family. Now, with more stability and a support system, I am looking to re-enter the workforce. I look forward to networking and finding a rewarding career that allows me to use past skills and continue to learn new skills.

Greetings Lanita,

Since you have experience in Electrical Engineering and Project Management, I would like to suggest you review the career opportunities at Raytheon. I noticed there are quite a few opportunities at our facility in Huntsville which as you know is very close to Madison. Send me your email address and I will forward them to you. We are very proud of our veterans at Raytheon and genuinely value their service. You will find considerable support and quite a diverse and inclusive culture. Keep in touch and I will do all I can to help you out..

HI Lanita, I shared your post/reply with the Recruiter who handles that program. I will follow up with you on her response, but she may reach out on her own as well. :)
