Is there a mentor for start-ups in the Dallas-Fort Worth area?

Veteran

Dapo Oremade Fort Worth, TX

I am looking for a mentor in the Fort Worth, TX area that could help me with my start-up. It's an online platform for freelance online tutoring and written assignment help. I already have my platform launched (currently me as the only employee though), registered as an LLC, and have had few registered users. But I don't have the cash to get extra help, or the appropriate marketing skills to get my platform out there. I would appreciate if there is an experienced entrepreneur who is willing to help me out with advice and some direction.

Thanks for your service!

I would love to sign up on your platform to tutor Business Leadership / Management at the undergrad or graduate level. Is your LLC ready to hire tutors? Thanks!

Thanks all. I reached out to SCORE and was able to schedule an appointment with a mentor today. It was a really great first time meeting, and I look forward to more fruitful meetings. I really appreciate everyone's advice.

Hi Dapo,

Thank you for your service! You may actually be eligible for ACP's Veteran Mentoring Program - this can be a great way to find an entrepreneurship Mentor. While they wouldn't be able to help financially, they can definitely help you become a better business owner and marketer.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Best,

I'd suggest the University of Texas - Arlington Veterans Business Outreach Center

Hi Dapo,

I would suggest you contact your local chapter of SCORE. They are affiliated with the small business administration. They are staffed with buisness professionals that help small buisness owners with a variety of problems. The services are free.

Best of luck
Bill
