Clearance...?????

Veteran

I had a TS/SCI but since I am no longer active it was downgraded to Secret. Many positions required a TS but recruiters do not provide any options as for you to pay for the clearance if hired or offer any other solutions..either you have active or not. Could you expand on this issue?

Nilda,

A key point would be if your background investigation is still current since you previously held a TS. If this is the case, you'd want to highlight in your resume that you hold a Secret clearance but have a current SSBI (background). It shouldn't be difficult for the employer to get your TS if the investigation is done.
