After stepping into the field of law enforcement I decided that it wasn't for me. I am looking for advice and possible new directions in criminal justice or elsewhere.
I have spent the last five years dedicating resources and training to law enforcement and criminal justice. Now that I've decided that law enforcement is not for me, I am currently trying to find new career field. I need assistance trying to identify how the experiences and training I've received can be applicable to other careers outside criminal justice.

I see that you are from Naperville, Illinois, and want to suggest that you visit privateinvestigatorEDU.org to look into the idea of training for/obtaining a Private Investigator license in the State of Illinois. It would be a bonus if you had any military police training.
When I was actively practicing criminal defense, we were constantly looking for qualified Private Investigators. This could be a good way in which to put your law enforcement experience to use.

Also consider taking an online assessment of your strengths and skills. Something like "What Color is my Parachute" will help you gain some direction on what jobs might be a natural fit to the things you like to do.
