Advisors in the Fashion industry

Veteran

Tei Pascal Bronx, NY

I am looking for advisors in the Fashion industry. What I am currently finding is most that I attempt to connect with do not see or understand the skills I can transfer over in this industry. I have applied for a plethora of jobs, sought after placement agencies and even beat the streets at local retail stores. If I do not have fashion experience, I am overlooked. I am sure if given the opportunity to interview I can sell myself as to why my skills are needed in this competitive field.

My question is, does anyone know of anyone seeking someone in the Fashion industry that has two decades of experience that could help take their company to the next level? I know the need is out there, it’s just a matter of finding the right connections.

To learn more about me, potential recruiters, advisors, HR reps or employers can view my resume at my LinkedIn profile:

Hi Tei. I read through your C.V. on LinkedIn. There are a couple of typos and grammatical mistakes that you really should fix. Other than that, it's a pretty impressive background. I run a women's fashion magazine in NYC, so if you want to chat anytime, just let me know.

Hi Tei,

I hope you're having a great Labor Day weekend! Thank you for your service and for posting on ACP AdvisorNet!

I would highly encourage you to reach out to Advisors on our Community Page. On there, you’ll be able to filter your search by numerous criteria, including industry, location, and experience. Cast your net wide, and I’m sure you’ll be able to line up a number of informational interviews!

I would also encourage you to see if you can reach out to your Universities Alumni network on LinkedIn. I’m sure someone on there would be able to point you in the right direction!

I hope these suggestions were helpful, and please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. I'd be happy to connect with you via e-mail, or phone, to discuss further!

Have a great rest of your weekend.

Best,

-Bernard.
