I was a parachute rigger and now have an upholstery shop business and trying to get funding to teach the skilled trade to veterans. How can I set this up to make it happen. I have the equipment with extra machines to work. All advice is welcome thanks.

Sam - Your best bet is probably to start a non-profit. Then you can search for funding through grants from the government, businesses, and philanthropists. Chances are, these organizations have already set aside funds for teaching veterans new skills. This means you will either have to learn how to write grants (AKA proposals) or you will have to hire someone that specializes in writing grants. Secondly, I would consider crowdfunding. Tell a great story on social media and ask for donations through sites like GoFundMe.
