I would like to know how I may be assigned with a mentor

Veteran

Samantha Chavana El Paso, TX

Mr. C mentioned to me that this was where he met his mentor and that is has had a positive impact on him personally and professionally. I would like to learn how to become more confident, professionally and personally. I was hoping I could also get help with my resume.

Hey Samantha,

Until you get assigned an official mentor, I will be happy to assist you with developing your resume and discussing career options.

I got out four years ago and had some help with the transition, so I would love to pay it forward.

Respectfully,

Casey

Thank you for everyone's helpful input, I do sincerely appreciate it. I have been assigned to an official mentor now, so I wish you all well. Thanks again.

I would be happy to temporarily assist you. My schedule prevents me from being a full time mentor.

Here are a few thoughts to think about:

What are your goals?
What are your interests?
What do you want to do?
What constraints exist in your present situation?
Where do you want to be in five years?

Hi Samantha,

Thank you so much for reaching out to us! We would love to pair you with a Mentor in our official mentoring program, and it sounds like you already have some great goals in mind for your mentorship.

Our Veteran Application page on our website has more information on our program (which is completely free) and highlights what typical mentorships include: https://www.acp-usa.org/mentoring-program/veteran-application

If you're still interested in signing up after reviewing the program and requirements, please do not hesitate to apply through this link: https://mentoring.acp-usa.org/apply/protege/auth. Once you do, either myself or one of my colleagues will be in touch within one business day to outline next steps and start the search for a great Mentor for you.

Thank you again for contacting us, I hope you join our program and that your mentorship is a valuable experience for you!

All the best,

Sarah Bass
