Looking for assistance with an upcoming federal special agent interview on 24 May

Veteran

Timothy Boylan Sanford, NC

I have an interview with the Dept of Commerce for a Special Agent position in their Office of Security. This agency seems to be a black hole for information. I am seeking advice for the types of questions they will be asking or anything else of value. I very much appreciate everyone's time and assistance.

Hi Tim,

Thank you for posting this question to our Community.

I came across the following articles that may provide some insight on type of questions to expect:

- Special Agent Candidate Packet: https://www.fbijobs.gov/sites/default/files/Special_Agent_Candidate_Information_Packet.pdf

- Special Agent Interview Questions:
https://www.jobinterviewquestions.com/human-resources/special-agent

- Conquer the Federal Job Interview from Washington Post:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/jobs_articles/conquer-the-federal-job-interview/2012/10/09/45411c68-1222-11e2-be82-c3411b7680a9_story.html?noredirect=on&utm_term=.03c7046470a7

And remember, stay confident, use revelatory anecdotes, be concise, honest and straightforward in communication, and remember that they called you in for the interview because you have something to offer. Leverage your experience and skillset.

I wish you all the best in the interview!

Best,
Jon
