The university I received my bachelors has a Psychology PHD program, but it is not APA certified. I am confused about the difference. If anyone knows about this that would be great.

Hi Landy,

First off, thank you for your service and for using ACP AdvisorNet.

Next, I did some research and found a few articles that I think could be helpful for you as you consider graduate school options, and the benefits of APA certification.

Beyond these articles, I would also recommend that you utilize our Community page to reach out directly to Advisors who have experience in Psychology to learn more about the benefits of any particular certifications within your chosen industry.

Please feel free to reach out directly to me if you have any additional questions. I'd be happy to schedule a 10-15 minute phone call to provide a tour of ACP AdvisorNet in more detail, and help you best utilize the Community page.

Thanks again, and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your weekend!

Best,

-Bernard.
