Would like you what is need to start a commercial daycare business! Counseling and mentoring would also be perfect, since this will be a new adventure for me. If there is training or work shops present in the area that would be awesome as well.

Freddie, thank you for your service and best wishes on your quest for a care center. I suggest you evaluate your finances to make sure you have your living expenses without cash flow from your state up for the next few years. Prepare a cash flow statement estimating what your income and expenses might be for your company for about the first three years. Prepare a balance sheet for you personally and prepare one for your proposed company so you will know your financial needs for now and into the future and what funds will be needed to start and grow your company. If l can answer any of these items please email me at bobrcombs@gmail.com. I wish you the best in your efforts to gather information regarding day care. You are wise to seek the help offered in this program because all of us have stood in your shoes and sought help before we made the move to commit our time and resources to a new project. The best to you and your efforts. Bob Combs

Freddie:
Lots of good suggestions ...I would suggest you consider talking with a business broker and find out if there are any existing daycares in your area for sale. Sometimes owners need to sell and will finance a portion of the sale price - and will offer free training to help you make the transition.
Good luck

Hi Freddie,

Thank you for your service and for the question! As I am not an expert of starting a small business myself, I cannot speak directly to the development. However, I would encourage you to utilize the community section of our website which will direct you to a number of advisors who can speak to starting a small business from experience. It may be helpful to refine by area of expertise, and if preferred, by location as well simply by searching by your zip code.

Additionally, below please find some material that I hope you will find helpful as you embark on this new journey!
