I had some questions in regards to renewing clearances. What type of offenses are waiverable and what type of offenses are basically will be a denial for secret or top secret ??

If you have questions about renewing your security clearance I have two suggestions for you.

First, the Department of State has a handy guide to the application process with a FAQ section. I suggest you check there. Here is a direct link: https://www.state.gov/m/ds/clearances/c10978.htm.

Secondly, you may also want to utilize the Community tab on this site. Mentors or other veterans with clearance may have perspective on the application process. If you are unfamiliar with how this section of the site works, I am more than happy to give you a tour.
