We responded to an RFP and are in the running for the project, I have placed all the pieces together except the funding, this is a Multi Million Dollar retrofit and I am Honored to be in the consideration for it, We have grown the company over the last 10 yrs starting as a small proprietorship and became an LLC last year.
We will receive 1/3 of the bid price up front, however it will not be enough to cover the urgent and compelling items and logistics to start.
I need to ensure I can cover these if we are awarded this contract,
Any suggestions? Thanks

The recent start-ups that I'm working with are using crowd funding, convertible loans from angel investors and bank factoring.
Each of these has a price but the price might be cheap if it enables you to do the job properly, opens doors for more, and earns you some money.
Word of advice - since this would be your first project - do it right and don't cut corners. You want to establish a top quality image from beginning until end.
Hi Dean, thanks for asking this question! Have you taken a look at our Community page yet? Consider searching that for Advisors with a background in contracting, and message them to start a conversation about this. I think that would effectively supplement any info you get here.
I wouldn't limit your search to the "Government" category either: Perhaps some advisors in Finance or Small Business would be able to provide great insights as well!
