I agree with Neil. Check out the IMVF program. I went through that program myself. It is a one year cohort and they have many courses you can take. If you finish up your course in a few short months, you have the option to take another and another. You can take as many as you are able to fit in that one year cohort. They do offer a stipend to help pay for one of your certifications. The class is online and you can work at your own pace, but don't get behind on the work. If something comes up and you need to extend your course end date you have that option as well if you communicate that. They are flexible and the program is amazing.

There are plenty of IT training programs available. I would begin my search with a community college. Private training programs can be expensive. Private training and private schools do have the benefit of offering classes that you can take online or even one night a week, but it may it worth you taking a job with less pay and flexible hours, depending on benefits that are available to you.

Kendall,

have you tried looking through a veterans outreach center? In upstate NY there's a small one that offers free courses to vets to help you get those skills/certificates. Looks like MSS State U. might have one- not sure if that is close to you; could try checking there.

Hi Kendall,

There are a lot of IT training programs but not all are widely advertised. You may want to check with your local colleges and universities and also link up with Student Veteran's of America to tap into their network. https://studentveterans.org/

A good way to find some of the programs run by technology companies is to Google the company's name and "veterans programs"

I know Microsoft has one:

Good luck!
